Keep Up-to-date
Always, always keep your resume up-to-date. The late 80s and early
90s taught me that. I saw too many other people get laid off and
go into shock at the prospect of writing their resume. Since that
time I try very hard to keep my resume up-to-date. That approach
was critical while I was contracting since assignments had a habit
of ending unexpectedly.
If your resume is up-to-date then that's one less thing to worry
about when the job ends or a new opportunity comes up.
Update your resume every 6 months and you will never face writing
your resume from scratch again.
